"Discover a fascinating world when you visit this urban heritage park in the shadow of Dudley Castle at the heart of the Black Country

Historic buildings from all around the Black Country have been moved and authentically rebuilt at the Museum, to create a tribute to the traditional skills and enterprise of the people that once lived in the heart of industrial Britain."
<CLICK> Here to go to Dudley Castle & Zoo  "The first castle here at Dudley was founded by the Normans around 1071. It is a classic example of a motte and bailey castle (the motte being the mound on which the keep stands and the bailey being the flat area within the curtain wall). The keep itself would have been a square wooden structure, but during the 12th century this was pulled down and replaced with a square stone structure. This was again pulled down and not rebuilt again until the 13th century and this is the castle keep you see today in ruins, which was square with a round tower on each corner."
<CLICK> Here to go to Severn Valley Railway  "For four decades, the Severn Valley Railway has graduated from relative obscurity to a prominent position in British railway preservation. Nowadays, the initials SVR are not solely part of the specialist jargon of keen railway enthusiasts, although the line is still happily invaded during the popular Enthusiast Weekends."
<CLICK> Here to go to Monmore Green Dog Track  "For non-stop entertainment every Thursday and Saturday evening why not experience the thrills and excitement of greyhound racing at Monmore Stadium.

It's action all the way from the moment the dogs leave the traps right up to the winning line. With 12 races every night and bets from just 50p, it's fast and fun and doesn't cost a fortune."
<CLICK> Here to go to West Midland Safari Park  "Four fantastic miles of safari trail with close encounters galore. Have you ever seen a rare White Lion? Probably not as they are virtually extinct in the wild and the Safari park have the only pride in the UK. The adventure continues - track down Elephant; Rhino; Tiger; Wild Dog; Lion; Wallaby; Wolf; Buffalo; Zebra; Gnu; Camel and all kinds of Deer. The animal reserve is home to over 600 animals and covers a vast area of 100 acres, which is often abundant with babies."
<CLICK> Here to go to Wolverhampton Speedway  "The club was founded in 1928 racing at Monmore Green, and after a brief flirtation with speedway, saw its last pre-war meeting in 1930. It was 20 years later that the sport returned to the town. Come and see the thrill's and spills of the toughest speedway leagues in the world involving the very best riders from around the globe."
